I begin by praising Allah and ask for His forgiveness and I take refuge with Allah from the evil of ourselves and the accursed Satan. Whom so ever Allah guides, there is none to misguide and who so ever Allah leaves to go astray, there is none to guide.

WHAT ARE THE STARS AND UNIVERSE MADE OF????
Have u ever stargazed and thought that the big bright twinkling stars in the sky at night were once created out of hot gas or smoke or cloud? Well if we have any knowledge about astronomy, this fact won't surprise us.
For the benefit of those who are not familiar with astronomy, yup, the wonderful stars we stargazed at night were formed out of hot gas/smoke/cloud.
Scientists today are able to observe the formation of stars from a hot gas cloud.
Not only stars, the formation from a warm mass of gas also applies to the creation of the universe - of course via BIG BANG (see the post on big bang)
Once again, not surprising to those who are familiar with astronomy. But what surprises me and maybe some of those who are in the field of astronomy is that, this creation from hot smoke thingy is mentioned in the Qur'an 14 centuries ago!!!
Amazing huh? Well for me it is.
This scientific fact which was only discovered in the 20th century, is described in the Qur'an in the following verse:
"Moreover He comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth: "Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly." They said: "We do come (together), in willing obedience."
(Qur'an, Surah Fussilat 41:11)
The Arabic word for "smoke" in the above verse is "dukhanun" which describes the hot, cosmic smoke in question. This word in the Qur'an, in pinpoint fashion, describes this smoke very accurately for it is a warm body of gas containing mobile particles connected to solid substances.
Here, the Qur'an has employed the most appropriate word from the Arabic language for describing the appearance of this phase of the universe.
Let us note that only in the 20th century have scientists discovered that the universe emerged from a hot gas in the form of smoke. [Dr. Mazhar U. Kazi, 130 Evident Miracles in the Qur'an (New York, USA: Crescent Publishing House: 1998), 52]
The fact that such information about the creation of the universe is given in the Qur'an is nothing short of a MIRACLE of the Qur'an. Masya Allah.
"This Quran is not such as can be produced by other than God..."
(Qur'an, Surah Yunus 10:37)
